The inauguration of the Research Center for Creative and Immersive Learning Environments: reCreate, takes place on Friday May 31st at 14.00-17.00 at Aalborg University in Copenhagen.

reCreate is a global research center focusing on development and exploration of meaningful frameworks for learning through integration of mind, body and technology.

reCreate is supported by the Faculty of Humanities and hosted by the Department of Learning and Philosophy.

reCreate is interdisciplinary, engaging researchers from the educational sciences, art & technology, human-centered informatics, psychology, architecture, computer science, medialogy, neuroscience, applied philosophy, music therapy and other fields in collaborations that encompass researchers from all the faculties.  reCreate works with affiliated artists in order to carry out joint explorations of modalities of knowledge and models of dissemination.

The Center initiates research activities in emerging fields of learning and education in order to explore mindful learning approaches and learning potentials of creative, embodied and immersive learning in physical and hybrid learning environments with a special focus on the role of artefacts and ICT in immersive learning environments.

reCreate enters into research and development projects in collaboration with national and international partners, having a user-centered perspective drawing on qualitative, processual as well as quantitative methods.

reCreate undertakes activities and collaborations both at the Copenhagen Campus in Sydhavnen and at Campus Aalborg.
